Francisco Gonzalez brings more than 25 years of experience across private equity real estate, asset management, development and cross-border investment execution in the U.S. and Latin America. Francisco co-founded Riverstone Capital in 2005 and served as Investment Principal through 2018, investing as GP alongside third-party investors across U.S. multifamily and land investments. His experience includes sourcing, underwriting, financing, repositioning underperforming assets and executing exits across multiple market cycles. Earlier, Francisco co-founded Baresa Real Estate in Argentina, where he served as Founding Partner and COO before leading the firm’s expansion into the U.S. That expansion ultimately led to the creation of Riverstone Capital. Across its operating history, Baresa has developed more than 3 million square feet across 20+ residential and mixed-use projects. Francisco currently serves on Riverstone Capital’s Board and leads international expansion for Grupo Posadas across Latin America and the Caribbean. He holds an M&A Certification from Columbia Business School Executive Education, completed advanced project portfolio management studies at Stanford University, holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the Universidad de Buenos Aires, and completed Master’s coursework in Construction and Real Estate Management at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.
